The Competitive Edge...
Following the 1968 Olympic
Games in Mexico City (elevation _____') the world of athletic science virtually
exploded with exploration of the effects of altitude on athletic
performance. More than thirty years later it's no longer a secret
that altitude can have a major effect on an athlete's competitive results.
The most recent research has now demonstrated that the optimal state
of athletic performance results from training low (at sea level) and living
high (at altitude). Unfortunately for nearly all athletes,
adopting the "train low - live high" method is nearly impossible.
It necessitates relocating to mountainous locations and making long
drives down from altitude to sea level for daily training sessions.
So while it may be ideal to train low and live high, it's simply not feasible
for most athletes. Until now...
The Hypoxic Tent System
(HTS) is a portable, state-of-the-art, altitude simulation system.
It allows the user to develop and maintain the physiological benefits associated
with altitude training while sleeping or resting. It eliminates the
need to travel to mountainous locations to obtain the "altitude effect".
Essentially, the Hypoxic Tent brings the mountain to you! |
All
kinds of athletes from all kinds of sports are using the Hypoxic Tent
to obtain a competitive edge and
the results
are nothing short of amazing. Because it's completely portable, athletes
are able to travel with the Hypoxic Tent to competitions anywhere in the
world. This allows them to sleep in an altitude simulated environment
right up until competition day. By maximizing this altitude effect,
athletes are able to maximize their own performance. Studies
have shown up to a 5% improvement in performance in as little as four weeks
of use!

Mountaineers are using the
Hypoxic Tent as a convenient, cost-effective means of acclimating
their bodies to high altitude environments. It is no longer necessary
to spend extended periods of time, away from family and work, at
expensive "base camps" prior to high altitude climbs. The Hypoxic
Tent allows you to simulate up to 15,000' of altitude in the comfort of
your own home.

How
does it work?
A patented self-contained
air-separation unit continually produces a controlled supply of hypoxic
(low oxygen content) air. The air is fed into a specially coated
tent, which is easily erected over any normal bed. The
tent is not completely air-tight. Its porosity is set so as to limit
the diffusion of outside air so the altitude state can be maintained.
The simulated altitude can be adjusted from sea level to 9,000 feet.
A separate adaptor can be utilized to simulate up to 15,000 feet of altitude.
The entire system is completely portable, sets up in minutes, and can be
checked on airlines as ordinary baggage. Using HTS for 6-8 hours a day
is sufficient to stimulate "altitude" acclimatization resulting in a number
of physiological adaptations
that translate into greatly improved athletic performance. |
